Dr. Alex Deyan
September 9, 2019 To My Precious Patients,
I would like to express what an honor it has been to be your physician. After much introspection and discussion with my family. I have made the difficult decision to retire on December 31, 2019. I can’t begin to tell you how much I have wrestled with this decision, in a large part, because of all of you! However after 32 years of delivering babies around the clock, performing surgeries, and managing a busy practice, this demanding lifestyle has taken a toll on my health. (Nothing major)
Most important to me at my departure is to insure your continuous, uninterrupted, excellent medical cam with a compassionate physician. I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Broad, M.D., Board certified OB/GYN, will be taking over my practice and your care beginning January 1, 2020. Dr. Broad has been a patient of mine for many years and I have delivered her children and therefore I know her extrernely well. I hand selected Dr. Broad because she practices medicine with the same warmth and personal caring that I have attempted to do. She is an excellent OB-GYN practitioner who is expert at all phases of general OB-GYN practice. I can think of no other single person that I would rather have to replace me.
Dr. Broad has been an Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of OB/GYN at Loma Linda University for the past 5 years. She is a very well respected OB/GYN with special training in high-risk pregnancy, routine pregnancy, minimally invasive surgery, and office practice. She is on the cutting edge in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Broad is married with children and lives close to Hoag Hospital.
Please be assured that Dr. Broad is looking forward to taking care of each of you. I guarantee that you will love her. She will practice in the current office, along with the same longtime staff, upon my departure at the end of the year. She will have your records and will be available for appointments at the current phone number. Dr. Broad will accept all insurances including: all PPOs, all HMOs (Monarch, Greater Newport, Prospect, Hoag Heritage, Hoag IPA), Medicare, Medi-Cal, Cal Optima, and private pay patients.
I will truly miss the close relationships that I have fonned with all of you over my career. I have been so very fortunate to consider you more than my patients- but my friends as well.
With Warmest Regards to you and your families,
Alex Deyan, MD
